Beginning with the search for a woman in a stock photo, Anonymous Camera Girl uncovers the obscured stories of women photographed holding cameras. Tracing this history from Kodak Girls to stock photo icons, Anonymous Camera Girl examines the relationship between gender and lens and looks at how artificial intelligence further complicates this relationship–ultimately asking the question who has agency over an image.
